The story:
Queen Titania of the Forest elves welcomed King Cornelius of Meadow and Princess Daphne of River to enjoy their annual festivities. Unfortunately, Daphne was unable to attend and her sister Alara took her place. For the first time in living memory, mortals were also invited!
However, an uninvited guest lingered broodingly at the bar. After the contest of fashion, he interrupted proceedings to reveal himself as King Fenrir of the Marshland. Fenrir expressed his displeasure at being excluded and demanded a throne. Ivy, new servant of Titania, was instructed to see him off. Armed with only the handle of a broom, she fought valiantly until she was finally overpowered. Fenrir pushed Ivy to the floor and held his staff to her throat, forcing Queen Titania to relent. His forgotten throne was pulled out from a corner and put as far away from Titania as possible.
As the evening progressed, Fenrir and Titania seemed to soften towards each other as both received gifts of moss, supposedly from each other. Alara gave a signal for all other guests to clear the dancefloor until only the two disgruntled monarchs remained.
Fenrir apologised for the death of Titania's deer in his swamp. They reminisced about the time they spent on the moss together when they first met, before the deer's death tore them apart. Titania drew attention to a pregnant belly, a result of their time together on the moss. Fenrir expressed his desire to be part of the child's life, and both seemed to be on a path to reconciliation.
But just as everything seemed wrapped up, Titania asked about the coded message Fenrir sent her. Earlier in the evening, she asked guests for help translating a note which said, "We are coming". Fenrir looked confused and told her that he did not send it. Troubled, all monarchs made a swift exit, talking in hushed voices.
